The 101th year of R.O.C. Central Police University Commencement Ceremony was held on June 8, 2012. We gladly invited President Ma to be the main host. The total of 642 graduates was honored in the ceremony including 11 Ph.D. degrees graduates, 126 masters' graduates, 505 bachelor graduates. We have several exchange students from Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia that study on board for master degrees. Therefore, Dr.Kriangsak Kittichaisaree, the representative of Thailand Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, director of Indonesia office in Taipei, and director of Trade office of the republic of Singapore in Taipei specially attended the graduation ceremony.
The ceremony starts at 10 o'clock in the morning. The president began his speech by congratulating all the graduates who soon will become Taiwan's good police officers. He said the police officer plays an important role in maintaining social safety. Since 2009, he started to host the central police university graduation ceremony and it has been four years continuously.
President positively affirmed school's efforts: Implement revolution of police education and strengthen various constructions, specially the project "promoting excellent police officer's education mid-term plan" (including 3 sub-projects) proposed by our school's which was approved by Executive Yuan. The construction costs 2.2 billion approximately, and it takes six years to complete. President was glad to hear the Investigation and Forensic Science Building is under construction. He hopes that the "improving police technical education facility plan" and "students dormitory building construction and repairing plan" can also be fulfilled. Providing better study environment helps achieve better study efficiency and the school's graduates can devote themselves into their work and the whole society.
Due to the coming police festival on June 15th, the president took the chance to express his thoughts to police colleagues all around the country and would like to congratulate all the graduates.
